TRAVEL ADVISORY - AIRTRAIN JFK WILL HAVE A PARTIAL SHUTDOWN FOR ANNUAL EMERGENCY TRAINING EXERCISE FROM 4 A.M. to 2 P.M. SATURDAY, OCTOBER 14

Free shuttle bus service will be provided to minimize impact on travelers
 

On Saturday, October 14, there will be a partial shutdown of AirTrain JFK service beginning at 4 a.m. and ending at 2 p.m. to accommodate an emergency training exercise. AirTrain JFK will not operate between Federal Circle and Howard Beach.

As part of the emergency exercise, smoke conditions will be simulated.

Free shuttle bus service will be provided in both directions from Federal Circle to the Howard Beach and Lefferts Boulevard stations. At Federal Circle, passengers can transfer to train service to all terminals.

Passengers and airport employees are advised to allow extra time when traveling to and from John F. Kennedy International Airport during this period. Additional airport customer care representatives, AirTrain JFK and other Port Authority staff will be on duty to better provide information for passengers during the train suspension.
