Capitol Corridor and Coast Starlight Services Impacted


Effective April 20, 2024

 

Due to infrastructure work being performed by Union Pacific, Amtrak's Capitol Corridor and Coast Starlight Services will be impacted as outlined below. The schedules listed on Amtrak.com have been updated to reflect this change.


Westbound/Southbound
  • Trains 723727737741 and 743 which normally operate between Sacramento and San Jose, will terminate at Fremont.

  • Train 729 which normally operates between Auburn and San Jose, will terminate at Fremont.

  • Train 11 departing on April 19 may experience delays up to one hour, due to a detour to the normal route.


Eastbound
  • Trains 724728732742 and 744 which normally operate between San Jose and Sacramento, will originate at Fremont.

  • Train 736 which normally operates between San Jose and Auburn, will originate at Fremont.


Alternate Transportation
  • All Capitol Corridor passengers will have the option to utilize Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) and Valley Transportation Authority (VTA)
