Amtrak Downeaster site:

 

 

 

Track maintenance work in MA will impact Weekday service until further notice.

Here is what passengers can expect during this work: 

 

• Normal Weekday Service for trains 680, 685, 686, 687, 688 and 689.


• Normal Weekend Service for all trains.


• Trains 681, 682, 683, and 684 will service all stations EXCEPT Woburn, MA. (WOB). No alternative service available to Woburn for these trains.

 

Passengers originally booked on the these trains should contact Amtrak at 1-800-USA-RAIL to be re-accommodated on alternate trains or request a refund.

Track Work Affects Downeaster Service

Effective through May 3, 2024

 

Due to track work being performed by MBTA, Downeaster service will be impacted through May 3, as described below. The schedules listed on Amtrak.com have been updated to reflect this change.

• Trains 682 and 684, which normally operate between Haverhill and Boston North, will detour missing the stop at Woburn with no alternate transportation provided.


• Trains 681 and 683, which normally operate between Boston North and Haverhill, will detour missing the stop at Woburn with no alternate transportation provided.


• Expect delays up to 20 minutes to Boston North. Please visit Amtrak.com for the most up to date schedule times.
