The Jacksonville Transportation Authority is closely monitoring Hurricane Ian as it approaches Jacksonville and the State of Florida. Please be aware of the following: 

  • We encourage all customers to be prepared should the Jacksonville region become impacted by the storm. Please visit our Severe Weather page at https://www.jtafla.c...severe-weather/ to review our Hurricane Preparedness Guide. 

  • Per our Hurricane Preparedness Guide, those with special medical needs must register with the City of Jacksonville if evacuations are ordered and need special transportation to a shelter. Please call (904) 255-3172 for more info. Registration does NOT carry over year-to-year.

  • If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our Customer Service team at (904) 630-3100.

    The Jacksonville Transportation Authority’s (JTA) top priority remains the safety and wellbeing of all customers and employees as we prepare for potential local impacts of Hurricane Ian. As of this release, the following service updates are in effect:


    • *Status of Service

      • JTA Bus Routes – OPEN until 8 p.m.

      • Johns River Ferry - CLOSED

      • ReadiRide – OPEN until 8 p.m.

      • Express Select – OPEN until 8 p.m.

      • Skyway – OPEN until 8 p.m.

      • Paratransit – OPEN until 3 p.m.

      • Administrative Offices – Closed at Noon.

Most JTA services are back, but the Skyway won't resume until Monday 10/3.

 


 

9/29/22, 5:50 p.m.

 

JTA transportation services will resume regular service levels beginning on Friday, September 30 at 12 p.m. This includes fixed bus routes, First Coast Flyer, ReadiRide and Express Select.

 

Connexion and Connexion Plus paratransit operations will provide life sustaining trips only from Friday to Sunday. Normal paratransit service will resume on Monday, October 3.

 

The St. Johns River Ferry will resume normal operations by Saturday, October 1 as weather permits. A specific time will be provided in the near future. 

 

The JTA Skyway will return to service no later than Monday, October 3.
