Track Work Affects Service between Haverhill, Woburn and Boston North Station
Effective Saturdays and Sundays Only through September 10, 2017Due to weekend track work being performed by Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA), Downeaster trains will detour between Boston North Station and Haverhill. As a result, service changes will occur on the weekend dates shown below:
Saturday and Sundays Only through September 3Downeaster trains will not stop at Woburn, and alternate transportation will not be provided.
Saturday and Sunday, September 9 and 10
Southbound Service: Brunswick - Portland - BostonSouthbound trains will operate normally between Brunswick and Haverhill. At Haverhill, customers will transfer to a bus that will operate nonstop to Boston North Station. Service will not be provided to or from Woburn.
Northbound Service: Boston - Portland - BrunswickNorthbound trains will be replaced with buses operating nonstop from Boston North Station to Haverhill. At Haverhill, customers will transfer to Downeaster trains, serving all remaining stations on the route. Service will not be provided to or from Woburn.

Downeaster: Trackwork Affects Service
Effective Saturdays and Sundays Only through October 1, 2017
Due to weekend track work being performed by Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA), Downeaster trains will detour between Boston North Station and Haverhill. As a result, service changes will occur on the weekend dates shown below:
Saturday and Sunday, September 23 and 24
All Downeaster Service trains will operate normal. Service will be provided to or from Woburn.
Saturday and Sunday, September 30 and October 1
Southbound trains will operate a detour route between Haverhill and Boston North Station missing the station stop at Woburn. Service will not be provided to or from Woburn.

Weekend Track Work Affects Downeaster Service between Haverhill and Boston North Station
Effective October 21, 22 and 28, 2017 and November 4 and 5, 2017
Track work being performed by Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA), will affect Downeaster service as described below:
Saturdays and Sunday, October 21 and 22 and November 4 and 5
Downeaster trains will operate to and from Haverhill on October 21 and 22 and November 4 and 5. Customers will be provided bus service between Haverhill and Boston North Station only. Service will not be provided to or from Woburn.
- Southbound Service: Brunswick – Portland – Boston Southbound trains will operate normally between Brunswick and Haverhill. At Haverhill, customers will transfer to a bus that will operate nonstop to Boston North Station.
- Northbound Service: Boston – Portland – Brunswick Northbound trains will be replaced with buses operating nonstop from Boston North Station to Haverhill. At Haverhill, customers will transfer to Downeaster trains, serving all remaining stations on the route.
Saturday, October 28
All Downeaster trains will detour between Haverhill and Boston North Station. Service will not be provided to or from Woburn on October 28.
