Monrovia station artist, Cha-Rie Tang, places her handmade glass bricks to create the illusion of water around the seven-foot-tall sculptural rock feature at the station plaza.

Foothill Gold Line Video: Duarte/City of Hope Station Art – Fabrication and Installation

In anticipation of tomorrow’s Duarte/City of Hope Gold Line Station Dedication, the Construction Authority has released a video highlighting the fabrication and installation of the station artwork created by the city-selected artist team of Andrea Myklebust and Stanton Gray Sears.

Close to 300 elected officials, community members and local stakeholders attended today’s Irwindale Station dedication. Here, several dozen elected officials pose in front of the Irwindale Station platforms.

After two and a half years of design and construction, Webcor Builders (the intermodal parking facilities design-builder) reached substantial completion this week. All six stations from Pasadena to Azusa will have parking.

Elected officials, along with officials in higher education and transportation, joined close to one thousand community members and the Foothill Gold Line Construction Authority to dedicate the Azusa Downtown Station and APU/Citrus College Station today. Metro ambassadors are now positioned along the Foothill Gold Line corridor helping residents understand how to stay safe as trains start running more frequently.

 

 

Sad that they need ambassadors to tell them how to stay safe. How about not crossing the tracks in front of a train? There, you just saved yourself one ambassador's salary.
