MTA to reopen A-Train service on Rockaway Line, continue other Hurricane Sandy recovery efforts
Yesterday, New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced MTA New York City Transit's (NYCT) A-Train service on the Rockaway line will resume on May 30. The line has been shut down since Hurricane Sandy struck the region in October 2012.

Like the others recently posted, this article ignores the other missing link in the Rockaways, the stretch between Beach 90th Street and Beach 116th Street (Rockaway Park). Had this section been restored, wouldn't the temporary H line have been extended over it? The item from MTA-NYCT does mention the return of S Shuttle service (though I wish they would leave it as H, its internal name), but it doesn't say whether Rockaway Park service has returned beyond Beach 90th Street, or if trains will continue to reverse there.
