MARC Train is closely monitoring the Winter storm approaching our service area for Thursday. While we do not anticipate any impacts to Thursday morning service, delays and potentially cancellations are possible Thursday afternoon, especially given the forecast of a rain/sleet/ice mix.

Passengers can stay informed of the status of MARC service by:

--Checking your email for MARC service alerts

--Reading the MTA Twitter feed: @mtamaryland

--Downloading the Transit app through the Apple Store or Google Play for real time train status and advisories

--Checking the MTA website service alerts: www.mta.maryland.gov/service-alerts

Further updates will be provided as information becomes available. Thank you for riding MARC Train and please be careful when traveling in winter weather.

At the present time, MARC Penn and Camden Line service will operate on the Enhanced R schedule on Thursday, February 18. However, given the forecast for significant snow and icing, there is potential for lengthy delays and train cancellations. To get the latest status on service, check your email, visit the MDOT MTA website (www.mta.maryland.gov/service-alerts), or check Twitter @mtamaryland . Most importantly, allow yourself extra time to drive to your station at reduced speed, walk – not run – from your car to the train platform, and board your train.
