Penn Line Service Disruption

 

At this time all train traffic in and out of Union Station has been temporarily halted to due downed catenary wires north of Washington.  the length of this disruption is currently unknown; as an alternative, Washington Metro has opened the option for travel to all MARC Penn Line ticket holders.

 

More information regarding this delay will be issued as soon as it is received.

Penn Line Service Disruption:  Update

 

At this time crews are resolving the catenary issues outside of Union Station, and trains are slowly beginning to be moved into and out of Washington. MARC 428 (410 dpt WAS) is anticipated to depart Washington shortly, with MARC 430 (420 dpt WAS) to follow.  More information will be issued as soon as it is received.

Penn Line Service Disruption:  Update 2

 

At this time, crews continue to resolve the catenary issues in and around Union Station and trains are being allowed to enter and depart at a very delayed rate.  Please expect delays of up to 25-35 minutes on north and southbound Penn Line trains, while the catenary problems are completely resolved and the train service resumes normal operations.

Camden Line Disruption

 

At this time catenary issues in Washington are causing all Camden Line trains to single track in and out of Washington.  As a result, trains are experiencing delays of up to 40-45 minutes on both north and southbound Camden Lines.  Please expect continued delays throughout the evening as the catenary problems in Washington are resolved.

At this time, Penn Line trains continue to experience delays due to the catenary issues in Washington.  Trains are operating with severe delays.  Personnel are continuing to work to resolve the issue.  Your patience and cooperation is appreciated.
