Tropical Storm Sally

Sep 12, 2020

Tropical Storm Sally is moving across southern Florida and will move into the Gulf of Mexico later today. It is expected to strengthen into a hurricane before landfall over the southeastern coast of Louisiana or southern Mississippi on Tuesday.

The Flood Protection Authority advised Norfolk Southern the floodgates that impede the flow of NS rail traffic into and out of New Orleans will close at noon Monday, Sept. 14. NS will work with our foreign line partners on possible alternate routing, but customers should expect delays to their traffic until this system passes. NS will continue to provide updates as conditions change.

Customers with critical shipments should contact NS Customer Service at customerservice@nscorp.com

The latest ETA and routing information are always available through AccessNS.

Thank you for your business.
