Chicago, IL Tribune, 5/26/16:

CTA operator sent to hospital after Brown Line train hits car in Ravenswood

One person was taken to a hospital after a Brown Line CTA train hit a car that was on the tracks Thursday afternoon on the Northwest Side, according to officials.

About 2:35 p.m. a Loop-bound train that was leaving the Rockwell station, 4648 N. Rockwell St., hit a car that was on the tracks, said CTA spokeswoman Catherine Hosinski.

Story here. No further comment needed from me about grade crossings on heavy rail transit lines.
