I was on a northbound Acela today(18th) in New Jersey when the engineer called the dispatcher and said "I need to stop for a few seconds". He repeated this five times with increasing urgency until he was acknowleged and got permission to stop south of Trenton. The train came to a stop for a minute or two. The engineer did his "business" and we continued on. When you got to go "you got to go"!!

Is this what I think it is?

Is there only one person in the cab of the Acela?

Well Kevin, . . . . that explains why I couldn't be an engineer. The Acela would never be ontime. Especially if I needed correct changes. LOL
