Well, it was not as short as expected. We did leave San Antonio on time at 7 AM, but we proceeded a bit slower than maximum speed. San Marcos came a few minutes late. But then we got behind a freight that has to manually flag at grade crossings, and so we alternated between slow and stopped for a while until the freight reached a siding.
Arrival into Austin was 10:21 AM, almost 1 hour late. We detrained in Austin. Many passengers waiting to board. Train was over 1 hour down by the time it continued north.
