Medford bridge work means service changes for Orange Line, commuter rail

 

The Massachusetts Department of Transportation said riders should plan for changes in MBTA service this weekend as it moves forward with its Woods Memorial/Route 16 Bridge Replacement Project.

All Haverhill Line service will terminate/originate at Malden Center on Saturday, June 3, and Sunday, June 4, due to the MassDOT Woods Memorial Bridge Project.

 

Due to the MassDOT Woods Memorial Bridge Project in Medford affecting both the Commuter Rail and the Orange Line, all Haverhill Line trains will terminate/originate at Malden Center on Saturday, June 3 & Sunday, June 4. Shuttle buses will be provided between Oak Grove, Malden Center, and Wellington Stations for an Orange Line subway connection to North Station.

There will be no direct shuttle bus connection to North Station.

Regular Haverhill Line train service will resume at the start of service on Monday, June 5, 2017.

Malden Center

Shuttle buses replacing Orange Line service between Wellington and Oak Grove Stations this weekend June 3 - 4 from start to end of service.

 

Due to the MassDOT Woods Memorial Bridge Project, buses will replace Orange Line service in both directions between Wellington and Oak Grove Stations from start to end of service on Saturday, June 3, 2017 and Sunday, June 4, 2017.

Regular Orange Line train service will resume at the start of service on Monday, June 5, 2017.

All shuttle bus stops are accessible for persons with disabilities.

Shuttling the following stops:
Oak Grove
Malden Center
Wellington
