This museum is not the same as Colorado Railroad Museum in Golden.
The Colorado Model Railroad Museum will display "Extreme Trains" Jan. 19-20.
Unlike the museum's usual historically accurate set-up, "Extreme Trains" will include personal trains that belong to volunteers of the museum. Visitors will get to see what the museum says is the longest train in active model railroading. The train is so long, Director of Visitor Experience Sherelle Escobedo said, it must be staged in two parts.
"Extreme Trains" will be on display from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Jan. 19-20 at the museum, 680 10th St. Admission is $10 for adults, $8 for seniors ages 65 and up, $8 for children ages 4-12 and free for ages 3 and under.
For more information, contact Escobedo at (970) 392-2934, email sherelle@cmrm.org or go to http://www.cmrm.org.
