I'm on my way, currently in Center City Philadelphia before taking Acela #2150 in the morning. So far my trip is OK, but I understand there are already some subplots going on with others' travels. I'll let them report about their trips here. This topic is for any travels to the Fest, and any activities in the Boston area pre-Fest (until Thursday evening).

I am on my way also. Currently on 98 which is running over 3.5 hours late - just stopped in Fayetville. My connection to 2160 does not look real good.

Had to wait with the pidgeons & homeless & coach passengers in the waiting room until the 6 AM Club Acela opening, but I'm here now awaiting Acela 2150 to Boston.

The same as pigeons, and I'll take their English over what I have to deal with on a day to day basis.

2150 is progressing along. Stopped briefly by Sunnyside just outside the tunnel for a few minutes, and were 6 minutes late at STM. Dusting of snow began at New Rochelle, about an inch at this point in CT. Wifi was out from the point we had stopped until STM.

The people coming on the eastbound Lake Shore Limited were about 18 minutes late out of Buffalo, NY this morning, but Amtrak currently estimates they will be on time into Boston tonight.

I am still on 98 running about 3 hours late. I will miss the connection to 2160 and have to forgo an acela ride with Alan, Grace and Dick. However, I was able to modify my reservation by phone and am now booked on 2164 - and was able to get first class (as was the case on 2160). Thank you Alan for telling me what to do. :)

I got into Back Bay a little early, but with Wifi spotty on the Acela I couldn't book a Lake Shore Limited trip. Did it via Julie in Back Bay (since that station also lacks the Wifi amenity) with the noise of announcements interrupting us, and then finally got it from the Quik Trak with minutes to spare. Nice ride on #449 BBY-WOR, and I'm now at Worcester Union Station awaiting my MBTA commuter train back to Boston. Interestingly, Worcester DOES have Wifi in the station, which makes this message possible; in fact the whole town is wired.

Many are now in town, and more are still working their respective ways Boston-bound. Chris had issues on the Texas Eagle resulting in a missed Chicago connection. He will join us Saturday morning. A few more are still on their way and will join us mid-Fest tomorrow (Friday).
