EDINBURGH City Council has approved an extension of the starter airport-to-city centre light rail line (modern tramway) to the Newhaven waterfront redevelopment district, BBC News reports. The LRT starter line at Scotland's capital city cost USD $1.18 billion. The extension will cost USD $221.2 million:

Tendering begins for Edinburgh tram extension

 

CITY of Edinburgh Council has begun tendering for contracts to extend the city’s light rail line from its current city centre terminus at York Place to Leith and Newhaven.
