As they say in that part of the country, "if you don't like the weather, wait five minutes, it will change."Looks llike we may be destined to have a soggy stay in both Salt lake City and Denver

I split off the weather discussion to a new topic. There was no need to put that in the thread about the documents for the fest. Come on people, I am just as busy as you are in preparing to go on vacation. It doesn't take more than a few seconds to create a new thread if needed.

Maybe I am looking in the wrong place, but I just did a 10 day forecast search on weather.com for both SLC and DEN.
SLC for Monday, high 96, 30% chance of rain; Tuesday, high 92, 30% chance of rain.
To me 30% chance of rain is not too bad (considering the forecast for Sunday is a high of 100 )
I could only get as far as Thursday for Denver, which does look very soggy. High 73 and 90% chance of rain.
I think it is still fairly far out. I am not quite ready to get "my panties in a knot" over the forecast. But...... ask me how much I am worrying about missed connections.....

Remember though that this time of year, a chance of rain does not necessarily mean it will rain all day. It could mean that with hot, humid conditions it may be a favorable chance for late afternoon storms, which tend to be heavy but overwith quickly.

Here is what I was looking at:
Salt Lake City
Not too bad at about worst case 40% in a few 4 - 6 hour periods while we are there.
Denver
Looks not so good in the afternoons. Mornings seem to be fine. Also don;t have the details for Friday yet, too far out.

If anyone adds an umbrella to their already heavy baggage, then it probably won't rain.
Bottom line: If it rains, we get wet.

The forecast has markedly improved for both Denver and Salt lake City. Salt Lake City looks to be certainly rain free 95/71, 91/71), and Denver also is almost certain to be rain free and sunny (89/60) as of now, while we are in town.
