RTA to gradually restore full service beginning at 1:00 p.m. Sunday afternoon

Updated Jul 14 2019 9:26 AM

As weather conditions continue to improve, the RTA is taking steps to gradually restore full service beginning at 1:00 pm this afternoon. Streetcar service will continue to be replaced by bus service, until the streetcar lines are cleared of debris and no cars are blocking tracks. The Algiers Point/ Canal St Ferry will continue to be replaced with terminal to terminal bus service and the Chalmette Ferry remains closed. The Rideline call center is open and taking calls.

We would like to thank our riders in advance for being flexible with their travel plans, during this weather event. We urge the public to please continue to monitor the latest weather reports and regularly check the RTA’s social media, www.rtaforward.org, GoMobile app, or call the Rideline at 504-248-3900 for the latest service information.
