Loop Trolley construction puts strain on small businesses, prompting fight for survival

The Delmar Loop, a popular stretch of commercial blocks near the Washington University campus that draws crowds from all areas of the city, has experienced significant change in the past several years. Its latest phase of change, however, has local business owners wary of their future on the Loop.

Trolley Tracks East of Skinker May Be Too Tight for Comfort

How close are the trolley tracks to the street parking along the south side of Delmar Boulevard, east of Skinker? So close that it's easy to imagine a trolley car sheering off a rearview mirror — or, if a door is opened too quickly, maybe even a car door.

Loop Trolley construction milestone means temporary traffic headache

UNIVERSITY CITY, MO (KTVI) - A big milestone for the Loop Trolley project is here but it’s going to mean extra miles and minutes for drivers. The fanfare of the ground-breaking has long since given way to the actual nuts and bolts of construction. They are about to get nuttier.
