I wonder how Hawaii even fell for the automobile in the first place? Although rail cars would still have to be imported, seems they put their mobility in the hands of oil companies that have to ship oil in, and the oil companies, despite an attempt at Price Controls that was repealed, get to play around with the lives of people in Hawaii. Now an attempt to get options restored in Honolulu faces what looks like a campaign from opponents. Say is Randal O'Toole and Wendell Cox behind the petition drive, sounds like it is right up there alley.
