TXARP Friends, National Train Day is May 9, 2009. To find more information go to: http://www.NationalTrainDay.com/ .

In addition to sites mentioned at the above website, Dallas and Fort Worth will have special activities. Amtrak, BNSF, and UP are participating. Private rail cars will be there. Other activities are planned for youngsters and families. Peter LeCody, President of Texas Rail Advocates, is coordinating the activities. This is to encourage TXARP members to not only attend the festivities, but to consider volunteering some of your time to assist with events in either Dallas or Fort Worth. If you would like to help, please contact Peter at: peter@texasrailadvocates.org.

If you attend, you will enjoy seeing the equipment and enjoying the events in either city. If you volunteer, you will feel that you contributed to the promotion and growth of passenger trains in Texas. As always, thank you for your support of expanded passenger train service in Texas.

Henry Wulff, President
TXARP
