KCS Service Status Update 9/8/17:

Embargoes due to Hurricane Irma

September 08, 2017

As a courtesy notice we would like to share with you that our rail partners, Norfolk Southern (NS) and Florida East Coast Railway (FECR), have issued service advisories due to the impending arrival of Hurricane Irma:

NS has issued embargoes for the following intermodal facilities: Jacksonville, FL; Charleston, SC; and Savannah, GA-Garden City Marine Terminal.

FECR has advised that it has stopped accepting in-gate traffic at several of its terminals including Miami, FL.

KCS intermodal terminals are not impacted by the hurricane and are available to in-gate and hold freight routed on KCS and destined for the above locations until such time as NS and FECR resume normal intermodal service to the affected locations, subject to available capacity.

For questions related to the service advisories noted above, please contact NS or FECR directly. For questions on KCS’ intermodal facilities please contact our KCSR or KCSM Customer Service Centers who can assist you with your shipping questions.
