PANYNJ news release:

PORT AUTHORITY BRIDGES AND TUNNELS REOPENED; PATH SERVICE TO RESUME AT 9:30 A.M.

Date: Jan 27, 2015

Following the lifting of travel bans by Governor Cuomo and Governor Christie at 7:30 a.m., the Port Authority announced today that its bridges and tunnels have reopened. This includes the George Washington Bridge, Lincoln Tunnel, Holland Tunnel, Bayonne Bridge, Goethals Bridge and Outerbridge Crossing. All of the crossings were closed at 11 p.m. Monday in anticipation of the major winter storm that hit the area during the overnight hours.

In addition, the Port Authority announced that service on the PATH rail system will resume at 9:30 a.m. PATH will operate a weekend schedule until further notice with service from Newark to World Trade Center and from Journal Square to 33rd Street via Hoboken.

There will be minimal flight activity expected at the Port Authority's airports today, and travelers should check with their carriers before going to the airport. Only a limited number of flights are anticipated to arrive and depart at John F. Kennedy International, Newark Liberty International and LaGuardia airports.

The Port Authority Bus Terminal and the George Washington Bridge Bus Station are open, and travelers should check with their carriers to see if service will be operated today. NJ Transit has announced that it will resume service to the bus terminal at 10 a.m.

The Port Authority's port terminals will be closed today for snow removal and expect to reopen for business on Wednesday.
