Some ambitious ideas to extend the Tacoma Link Light Rail system. The current line is very short--so much so that Sound Transit couldn't really charge for patronizing it--it's free to one and all. Let's hope the line can be extended to the point where riders will have to pony up! The article from the Tacoma News Tribune is here -------------------- "Big Green Chauvanist"

I like all of those. I take a joyride/research ride on SOUNDER at least once a season just to see what it is like. I think that the lines in the article are possible, plus one they did not consider. I think a routing to Pt. Defiance Ferry Terminal would be a good idea. More Intermodal Conncetions is what we need. Once the extensions happen, they should and probably will charge fares.
