City News, 3/6/24:
Lucien-L’Allier Exo train station closing in April
Starting April 1, the Lucien-L’Allier Exo train station will be closed for renovations until 2025.
For those who don't know, Lucien-L'Allier is one of the two large downtown stations in Montreal -- this one actually a terminal. It serves three EXO commuter lines that run on Canadian Pacific (now CPKC) tracks. It replaced in 1997 the former Windsor Station, which was severed from the rails serving it by construction of the Bell Centre. (The other station, Central Station, serves trains that run on ex-Canadian National tracks, including EXO, REM, VIA Rail, and the Amtrak Adirondack.) The three Lucien-L'Allier commuter lines will temporarily be cut back to suburban stations that have STM Metro connections with the Blue or Orange Lines.
