As of Saturday, 9/1/12, all streetcar service is still apparently out. The St. Charles line and the two Canal lines are being bustituted, while the Riverfront line is not running and does not have any alternate bus service. This comes from the current replacement NORTA homepage, which shows a list of all routes. The streetcar lines are 2 for Riverfront, 47/48 for Canal, and 12 for St. Charles.

I hope that things don't take years to restore like they did with Katrina.

New Orleans, LA Times-Picayune, 8/30/12:
And there you have the explanation of the lack of streetcar service. http://www.nola.com/...gin_runnin.htmlDebris from Isaac continues to keep streetcar service offline, but the Regional Transit Authority has activated 16 bus routes.
