Rail riders: Bus service between Worcester and Grafton during station work
Commuter rail riders will need to add a bus to the itinerary the weekend of July 29-30.
Shuttle-bus service between the Worcester and Grafton train stops will be in place for two days to accommodate the latest phase of construction at the Union Station platform.
Story is here.
And here's some logic..... if this is disruptive enough to require bustitution between Worcester and Grafton, then I would predict that Amtrak decides to suspend its Boston section of the Lake Shore Limited over the same period.

Upgraded Union Station commuter rail platform running behind schedule
It has started to get chillier outside and holiday travel is just around the corner, and riders at the Union Station grand hall still need to make the trek to a temporary platform a short walk away, toward Shrewsbury Street.
