This is an exciting and worthwhile development for the prosperous country that occupies one half of the Caribbean island, Hispianola. The Dominican Republic currently has a major television advertising campaign promoting its plethora of golf courses. Hopefully, rail transit will provide easy access to links. Gomaco replica streetcars might be an economic development boost for impoverished Haiti, the French-speaking neighbor to Dominican Republic. A streetcar line would be cheaper to build than roads and would provide employment. Haiti also needs to address some environmental issues such as its denuded landscape, but that's a topic for another board. Sloan
