Saturday's activities are a wrap. 12 of us enjoyed time well spent on the rails although all 14 from the group were involved at mealtimes. and conversing with one another.

Our itinerary has been updated for Saturday to show the scheduled vs. actual times we were at each timepoint. As expected we managed to run a little ahead on the SEPTA portion of the Fest, but stayed on or close to schedule once we were on commuter rail, heavy rail, and light rail mostly in New Jersey.

Roughest part of the day was probably waiting for the eastbound #15 trolley at Broad & Girard in the wind and cold, with some pretty hefty snowflakes coming down.

Totals on first line edited, once I crunched the numbers!

Thanks Eric for thinking about me. I could have used a heavier coat, bigger hat, warmer gloves and a longer coat for the trolley wait. However, once inside, I was generally warm and removed several layers. I has been quite some time since I was outside witnessing snow falling. I had a very nice time despite snow and wind. Thanks for your organizational skills, Kevin.

OK here we go Saturday by the numbers. Breakfast at the Doubletree, we had 7 people, the 7 who had stayed there overnight Friday. That was Preston, Penny, Dick, Lou, Alan, Sloan, and me. Dick made his way to New York on Amtrak while the rest of us would take the scenic route. On the SEPTA portion of the day, we had 10 people: Sloan, Alan, John, Ed, Nick, Preston, Penny, Lou, Chris, and me. On the Atlantic City Line and RiverLINE we were up to 12 after Maurice and Bill joined us at 30th Street Station. At Trenton, Sloan left us to head west on Amtrak. That left 11 on the NJT Northeast Corridor Line from Trenton to Newark. At Newark, Maurice remained on board at Newark towards New York while the rest of us detrained there. The remaining 10 people were together as we closed out the day riding PATH and then Hudson-Bergen Light Rail through the cities of Jersey City, Bayonne, and finally Hoboken. At Hoboken, I remained on board the HBLRT to return to my hotel while the others headed for New York City on PATH. Dick rejoined us at dinnertime, and Jishnu met us as well, having not been able to make it for the Saturday rail activities. Returning from the day on the rails were Preston, Alan, John, Penny, and me. This group of 7 ate at the Skylight Diner in Manhattan. I think that sums things up for the day; let me know if I got someone's whereabouts wrong.
