It's only a dream, but some transportation advocates are hailing Sound Transit's willingness to study the long-term feasibility of a new light rail line running between Ballard and Redmond.
Sound Transit is in the process of updating its long-range plan, a wish list of projects that could be given more serious consideration in the coming decades after all of the current voter-approved projects are complete in 2023.

Definitely a dream. I doubt the Lake Washington crossing proposed could be built. It would higher costs due to NIMBYISM, on both sides. I did like the idea, though, especially their regional vision map.
