Tuesday at 11:59pm is the deadline for my NYC Friday hotel.  If I cancel, I am thinking about modifying my reservation to a different date, although I have no date in mind.  I am thinking March - maybe doing same itinerary, maybe just NYC or maybe DC area.  I love traveling with this group and am very bummed by the fact I may be canceling.

We need to have a more real-time discussion about this, as some participants don't regularly look at this board.   Either a phone call, or more likely a group text, so we can discuss what we think is best.  I don't want to panic at this point and cancel out, but at the same time I realize that some financial loss can occur from Amtrak's refund policy if they don't outright cancel the trains.  I also have in mind everyone's health and safety.  We should communicate by tomorrow midday so that appropriate cancellations can occur (particularly with the NYC hotels if applicable since Tuesday night is the deadline).

 

I am OK with either a group text or phone call.  I will be home in the afternoon and available to talk if a phone call.  I assume everyone has a smart phone and has the ability to group text.  I had a feature phone (5 years ago), and I was unable to participate in group texts.

I have access to a group bridge service where we all could call in and speak / listen together.

I need a day to set up the call and advise each participant of the phone number & access code.

I am ok with phone or Slack chat as long it is after noon.  Text can be at any time.
