Limited MARC Brunswick Line service Friday



MARC Brunswick Line trains will operate on an "S" schedule tomorrow. Only trains with an "S" under the train number in the timetable will operate.

The following trains will not operate on Friday morning:
890 (5:00am departure from Frederick)
872 (5:00am departure from Martinsburg)
876 (6:40am departure from Brunswick).

Brunswick Line trains will also operate on an "S" schedule Friday afternoon:
Train 871 (1:30pm departure from Union Station) will operate as scheduled. As is reguarly scheduled, there will be no bus connections to West Virginia.
Train 873 (3:30pm departure) will have additional PanTran buses meet the train at Brunswick for all three stops in West Virginia.
Train 875 (4:25pm departure) will not operate.
Train 877 (4:55pm departure) will operate and make all stops between Washington and Martinsburg.
Train 879 (5:40pm departure) will not operate.
Train 881 (6:20pm departure) will be THE LAST Brunswick Line departure from Union Station, making all stops to Martinsburg.
Trains 895 and 883 (6:40 and 7:25pm departures) WILL NOT operate.
Frederick TransIT "Meet the MARC" buses will meet all "S" schedule trains at Point of Rocks.

As we said in our earlier message, if you are riding with us today, please take EXTRA time during your morning commute. The National Weather Service is predicting some of the coldest temperatures the region has seen in 20 years and significant "black ice" is predicted.

Please do not put the rush to get to the train station in front of your personal safety!

MARC Penn and Camden Line full service Friday



MARC Penn and Camden Line trains will operate full service on Friday, January 3. Delays are possible due to weather conditions.

Penn Line passengers that ride from Perryville, Aberdeen, and Edgewood should check with Amtrak regarding the status of Amtrak trains 151 and 181; they may be delayed due to the severe weather north and east of the Baltimore region.

Camden Line

MARC alert, 5:49 am:

Train 841 (5:00am Camden dep) is stopped at Dorsey due to single tracking on account of a tree across the w/b tracks.

5:55 am:

Due to train 841 stopped at Dorsey with a tree blocking the tracks, pass trans to train 843. This train will make add sta stops at Greenbelt and Riverdale.

6:04 am:

Train 841 (5:00am Baltimore departure) is terminated at Dorsey Station due to tree blocking tracks. Train 840 (6:32am Washington departure) is canceled this morning due to no equipment available.

6:31 am:

Camden Line Update: Due to Camden Line delays, the Washington Metro is honoring MARC tickets this morning.

Due to weather conditions, MARC trains on all lines are experiencing anywhere from 10-30 minute delays. Metro to honor MARC tickets.
