Saluki Train 390, Illini Train 393 and Carl Sandburg Trains 381 and 382: Business Class Equipment Substitution
Effective February 2 - 28, 2015
During the month of February, Business Class service will be offered for Trains 381, 382, 393 and 390 on substitute railcars. The Business Class seating will be provided in a bi-level Superliner car. Passengers who purchase the upgrade will be entitled to most amenities normally offered on the single-level Horizon and Amfleet cars, including priority boarding, use of the Metropolitan Lounge at Chicago Union Station, complimentary beverages and a newspaper.
Half of the upper level of the of the Superliner food service car will be curtained off for Business Class passengers.
The main difference in Business Class on Superliners is two-by-two seating, rather than a row of single seats on one side of the aisle. All seats in Superliners have the customary leg rests, foot rests and provide wider space between the rows of seats than coach seating on the Amfleet and Horizon cars.
We appreciate your patronage and apologize for any inconvenience you may experience. Reservation and train status information is available on Amtrak.com, our free mobile apps and at 1-800-USA-RAIL (1-800-872-7245). Thank you for choosing Amtrak.
