We need to address where the group will convene or re-convene each day based on the schedule. This will be communicated via e-mail to participants as well within the next couple of days. Here is the plan for Vancouver:

Thursday 7/22

Upon arrival into Vancouver and clearing the Canada customs, we go our separate ways to dispose of our luggage and potentially check-in at hotels. Most likely we will head in opposite directions on the Expo/Millennium Lines from Main Street/Science World SkyTrain station. The itinerary calls for the first official rail segment to begin at Waterfront Station, the origin/terminus point for all SkyTrain lines. If your hotel is located along the Expo Line, you may not need to return downtown if time does not allow. Simply board the SkyTrain carrying the Fest people at the station en route. You will get any missing segments later in the 2-day period. If you aren't planning on using your cell phone/text messaging within Canada, it may pose a problem in finding out when the train carrying our group is approaching your stop. The group should plan on riding at the front of the train so that participants can find one another.

We can't ride the West Coast Express because one cannot get back to the city, but perhaps we can spend time in Waterfront Station after our SkyTrain rides and watch one leave.

Friday 7/23

Some of us have discussed privately the potential activities for Friday morning. To be safe in being able to ride the entire Canada Line, pickup luggage, and pre-clear US Customs at the rail station, we most likely won't venture too far from downtown, other than possibly a round trip ride on the SeaBus, and maybe going up in the tower near Waterfront Station. We can discuss in person during the trip where we will meet. The Canada Line run can possibly be earlier than currently scheduled, so that we can make sure we are able to get back to the rail station with enough time for Customs.
