We will have dinner in Toronto Wednesday night and Thursday night. I will start the ball rolling with yelp reviews for restaurants near Union Station and the Hilton Hotels near the airport.

First, in the vicinity of the hotels near Toronto Pearson International Airport, these sit-down restaurants are a short walk from the Embassy Suites or Doubletree, and a little longer walk from Hilton:

The Keg Steakhouse & Bar (Pricey, but great selection including steak, chicken, seafood, ribs)

Airport Gate Cafe & Grill (Appears reasonably priced but selection of sandwiches, burgers, steak, souvlaki, chicken fingers, etc)

Lone Star Texas Grill (Main courses mostly steaks, burgers, ribs, chicken sandwiches and wraps, but prices not displayed)

Ruth's Chris Steakhouse (Mostly steaks, known to be expensive -- and it is)

For fast food, there is a Subway in the vicinity as well.

Within Doubletree Hotel:  Turtle Jack's (diverse menu, moderately priced)

Within Hilton Hotel:  Bliss Restaurant. Said to have mostly Italian food, but can't find menu other than breakfast.

In the airport terminals themselves (Terminals 1 & 3), there are fast food places like Subway, Wendy's, Tim Horton's, & Smashburger, but I am not sure if they are before or after security.

Downtown is tough to cover as it's huge and served by various subway and streetcar lines.

If you want a very diverse selection of food court type places, then by far the best places to go are either CF Toronto Eaton Centre or the food court and promenades within Toronto Union Station. I would expect we'll do places like that for lunch and would prefer something better for dinner.

Old Spaghetti Factory (within 2 blocks of Union Station, we've done this type of place many times before).

Fran's Restaurant (Prices not listed, but diverse menu including steak, Italian, wraps, burgers. Near Union Station.)

Daddyo's (Italian and Salads, along Spadina streetcar line)

The Puck (Sports Bar & Grill, comfort foods, located near Spadina streetcar & Bloor-Danforth 2 subway)

St. Louis Bar & Grill (chicken wings, bar foods, located near Spadina streetcar & Bloor-Danforth 2 subway)

7 West Café (open 24 hours, Italian food, pizza, sandwiches, near junction of 1 and 2 subway lines)

The Slip (Burgers, Popcorn Chicken, Hot Dogs, Salad, located on Lake Ontario, on Spadina & Harbourfront Streetcar lines)

List will continue to grow as more is explored.

This is a lot of good work. I think we can find something. Imho it makes sense to focus on dinner near union station or by the airport hotels. Lunch appears to easier since we eat at Union station one day and Scarborough fair the other.
