Super Bowl LIII is now less than a month away.

 

And to add to the growing excitement for the big game, the Atlanta Street Car now has this year's new Super Bowl logo on it.

Many a transit advocate harrumphed on New Year’s Eve as MARTA officials announced the Atlanta Streetcar would stop running early due to street closures.

The Atlanta Streetcar was shut down last night due to heavy traffic. From @MARTASERVICE

 

Due to heavy vehicle & pedestrian traffic, Streetcar service is suspended until further notice.

 

As of this morning, the streetcar has reopened.

During last weekend’s Super Bowl LIII in downtown, the reality that cars remain king in Atlanta was fully on display.
