Trolley Lines Return Comes With Technology, Standards Changes

MATA trolley service returned to the Main Street Line only, on April 30, 2018. Service remains suspended on the Madison Avenue and Riverfront Lines, with modified bus routes still covering the latter two trolley lines but connecting with the Main Street trolley service.

MATA to begin testing for reopening Madison Avenue trolley line
The Memphis Area Transit Authority will start testing the Madison Avenue trolley line in the next 90 to 120 days to examine the possibility of reopening the line, said Paul Young, Downtown Memphis Commission president and CEO.
