With a train now coming into the station infrastructure for the first time, it is even harder to believe that revenue service won't happen until 2025.  From WCNC-TV, NBC Charlotte, 12/1/22:

The very first "test train" arrived at the platform for Charlotte's new Gateway Station Tuesday.

      Charlotte's Uptown train station is likely years away from completion    

 

 

It's been more than a year since the first test trains rolled through Gateway Station, marking the end of the first phase of construction of the Uptown rail hub that'll one day replace Charlotte's outdated Amtrak station on North Tryon.
