Railway Preservation News reports that the Baltimore Streetcar Museum has recently acquired seven PCCs from Septa, one of which is a line car that the museum plans to retain in that guise.
The museum's line terminates at a loop in front of the old Maryland and Pennsylvania roundhouse. Baltimore city public works department uses the roundhouse as a garage and materials storage facility. Apparently, BSM would like to acquire the roundhouse and discussions with the city on that matter are underway. Sloan |

QUOTE Railway Preservation News reports that the Baltimore Streetcar Museum has recently acquired seven PCCs from Septa I guess SEPTA didn't refurbish their entire PCC fleet for use on the Girard line. -------------------- Kevin Korell OTOL Board Leader Howell, NJ |

BSM bought the PCC cars from SEPTA for $200 each. The transportaion costs for each one from PHL to BAL was 10 times the purchase price. If I had a few more acres of land I would be tempted to buy some for my yard.

Bill Bill, While they are digging up US 9 in Freehold, why not have them put a track in the median for you so you can run a PCC car carrying residents and shoppers around town? -------------------- Kevin Korell OTOL Board Leader Howell, NJ |
