Can anyone confirm a report that a restraining order has been issued? This is the closet thing I could find.
http://www.twu.org/media/Restraining_Order.pdf Brief passage TWU hereby notifies all members of Local 100 of their obligation under the December 13, 2005 preliminary injunctions and the December 20, 2005 temporary restraining orders issued by the New York Supreme Court to cease any and all strike or strike-related activities and to report to work at their regularly assigned work hours and work locations. "As has been reported in several media outlets, I personally spoke before the Local 100 Executive Board when it met on the morning of Dec. 20, and told them that I would not approve this strike -------------------- John Poshepny

The MTA got that restraining order on December 13, two days before the original strike deadline of December 15. Obviously, the union is violating it.
Today, a New York state judge ruled that the union will be fined $1 million for each day of the strike. You can read more about that here. This is in addition to every worker losing two days' pay for every day they strike. -------------------- Nick Gibbon
