Iowa ARP will hold its next meeting on Saturday, April 8, 2006 at Stone's Restaurant, 507 South 3rd Avenue in Marshalltown, IA. Restaurant phone number is 1-(641)-753-3626.

Attendees may enjoy an optional lunch from the menu at 12:00 Noon. The program and business meeting will begin at 1:00 PM. Meals will be paid for by each individual participating in the lunch. Speakers include:

• Laura Kliewer, Executive Director of Midwest Interstate Passenger Rail Commission
• Pat Hendricks, IARP President, giving a passenger rail update. Topics will include federal legislation supporting a national rail passenger system, and a Cedar Rapids light rail initiative.

Elections will be held for officers and one director.

The public is invited, welcomed and encouraged to attend the program and meeting.
