Here we go again.... another Big Apple RailFest (also known as BARF) event in the New York City area! This time we will travel primarily underground on the subways all day Saturday, although we do poke our heads above ground a few times throughout the day. Lunch will be at Jamaica Center, and dinner most likely pizza at Famous Ray's in Greenwich Village.

Friday evening's kickoff will be riding the innermost segment of the 7 subway between Times Square and Queensboro Plaza. Then we backtrack on the 7 to Long Island City, where we take the one eastbound weekday trip on the Long Island Railroad that runs on the Lower Montauk Branch to Jamaica.

On Sunday we will take a Metro North excursion up to Wassaic, NY and back, exploring the Upper Harlem Line. A late lunch will be at the Galleria at White Plains.

The homepage for this fest is here.

Please start e-mailing me to let me know if you will be coming, what hotel you are staying in if not from the area, and which days (Friday, Saturday, Sunday, all three, or a combination of days) you can make it.
