Derailment interrupts train service from Albany to NYC

Posted: June 12, 2009 06:26 PM EDT

There has been no train service between Albany and New York City on Friday, due to a derailed Metro North train in the Poughkeepsie area; an interruption that began around 3:00pm.

Empire Corridor (from Albany to New York City) and Lakeshore Limited (from Montreal to New York City) are the lines being affected.
