QUOTE A new winter weekend Rail Runner Express train schedule will begin on Saturday, November 5, 2011. During the winter months, Saturday Rail Runner service will be reduced to the equivalent of current Sunday service: two northbound runs and two southbound runs. The winter weekend schedule will be in effect through the last weekend in March 2012, at which time we will switch back to a summer weekend schedule. The Rio Metro RTD Board voted to reduce the Saturday schedule during the winter to help offset the loss of $1.2 million in federal funding for this year.
