As of today this is NOT on Amtrak's site, but I discovered it (the lack of said trains on certain dates) by accident. This is posted on the NCDOT site.

Mondays through Thursdays
February 27 through March 29

Track work being performed by CSX Transportation will affect Carolinian Trains 79 and 80 and Palmetto Trains 89 and 90, as described below:

Carolinian Trains 79 and 80

On Mondays through Thursdays, starting February 27 through March 29, Trains 79 and 80, which normally operate between New York and Charlotte, will operate between Raleigh and Charlotte only. Service will be cancelled between New York and Raleigh.

Palmetto Trains 89 and 90

On Mondays through Thursdays, starting February 27 through March 29, Trains 89 and 90 will be cancelled.
Alternate transportation will not be provided during the Carolinian and Palmetto service cancellations. Passengers planning travel during this period may contact Amtrak to inquire about other train service options between New York and Savannah.

Weekend Trains Operate Normally

On Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, the Carolinian and Palmetto will operate on their normal schedule, serving all stations on the route.
