BART resumes transbay service

BART has resumed service through the transbay tube in both directions but delays are expected throughout the system for the evening commute following a destructive and suspicious early morning fire that halted service between San Francisco and the East Bay most of Thursday.

BART operations back to normal Friday morning

Twenty-four hours after fire damage shut down the West Oakland BART station and brought the Bay Area's morning commute to a halt, the station was open Friday morning and the train system's fleet was running on time, a spokesman said.
