First of all, the Amtrak station in Cary is equipped with Wifi, although I think I heard that it stopped working towards the end of our several hour stay.
We had almost 1 hour less time there than expected due to our late arrival, but it was all good. More time aboard trains and less dwelling.
Still, the dwell was spent by most of us walking around town, as long as we could stand the heat outside. Then around 10:45 some of us went to get lunch early because we knew we would not be able to get it aboard the Piedmont (#75).
Bill remained on #92 to Raleigh, as he had originally ticketed himself to there. Chris detrained in Cary, and then decided to get an extra segment by taking the Carolinian (#80) one stop. He joined Bill in Raleigh and then both boarded #75 upon its origination there.
