KIDS RIDE FREE TO NEW ORLEANS

Amtrak offers summer savings to families on the Crescent

WASHINGTON – Stop worrying about high gas prices cutting into your summer vacation budget.  Amtrak will do the driving for you and actually save families money with a special “Kids Ride Free” offer.

Amtrak is now offering the popular “Kids Ride Free” summer travel program on the southern end of the Amtrak Crescent’s route.  From July 6 through September 1, 2004 one child (age 2-15) rides free with one full-fare adult, senior or disabled discount traveler.  The “Kids Ride Free” promotion is good for travel on Amtrak’s Crescent  (Trains 19/20) between Greenville, S.C., New Orleans and intermediate points only.  Reservations must be made three days in advance to receive the promotional fare.

The “Kids Ride Free” Crescent offer is limited to one free child per paid adult fare; a second child may travel at one-half the regular adult fare. The adult and child must travel together at all times and their tickets must be issued at the same time. This offer is not valid with other promotions, discounts or Amtrak Vacations packages.

For more information or to make reservations call 1-800-USA-RAIL or use our website www.amtrak.com. Please reference discount code H436.
