Continue here. Amtrak has been warning for some time about a possible failure with this bridge. The buzzards have come home to roost. |

Submarines are based north of the bridge as is the Coast Guard Academy's tall ship "Eagle." The Coast Guard rules state that navigation takes presedence over land traffic and they could order the bridge opened PERMANENTLY! |
